Your hair should be at least 10 cm long for a beautiful result and to ensure that you can place the rollers properly. Get help with the application. It’s more fun with two people and it’s also much easier to achieve an even result.
Application description
In addition to the perming and fixing lotion, you will find a foil cap and a pair of gloves in your Keralock men’s perm. You will also need the following tools for the application: terry towels, hairdressing cape or towel, comb, brush, greasy cream, absorbent cotton strips, watch/alarm clock, curlers (approx. 10-20 pieces) and end paper.
The strength of the perm depends on the hair structure, the application time (do not exceed the max. specification!) and the diameter of the rollers. For a more voluminous look, use smaller rollers. If you prefer to achieve only a slight wave (surfer look), you can also use medium to larger diameters.
Wet the hair and dab it lightly with a towel.
Section the hair according to the width of the curler. Take a sheet of end paper and place the ends of the hair in the middle between the folded sheet. Twist the wrapped hair section onto the roller up to the roots. Place the first roller in the center front of the forehead. Then wrap in two rows, slightly staggered, alternating left and right.
Then apply a thick layer of greasy cream to the forehead, temples and nape of the neck and place a absorbent cotton strip around the head along the hairline as a protective barrier.
Now put on the gloves and apply the perming lotion (1) in doses, roller by roller. Use the sponge applicator to lather up the product well.
Put on the plastic foil cap and wrap a towel around it. Leave the perming-Lotion on for a maximum of 20 minutes. After 10 minutes you should check the effect regularly: Unroll a test strand halfway, check the curl, roll it up again. Do not exceed the maximum application time under any circumstances.
When the desired curl or the maximum application time has been reached, remove the cotton strips and rinse the curled hair thoroughly (at least 5-10 minutes) with warm water.
Pat dry with a towel and apply a new cotton strip.
Apply 3/4 of the fixing lotion (2) and leave on for a further 10 minutes. Then remove the rollers and gently massage the rest of the fixing lotion (2) into the hair (use gloves!)
Rinse thoroughly with warm water (no shampoo!) and gently knead dry upside down with a towel. We recommend finishing with a conditioner.
To ensure that the curl lasts as long as possible, permed hair should be cared for more intensively and styled gently. You can find suitable curl care products in the Keralock Shop.
When styling, avoid combing and brushing as much as possible, but carefully detangle the curls with your fingers.
NOTE: The hair should not be washed for at least 48 hours after application, as this could impair or even completely cancel out the curl.
